Learn how I trade, one step at a time.

New here? Read these 20 articles in order. They go from "what is the dollar index?" to how I read the data, check the charts and size a trade. All in plain English.

How I trade, in four steps

1

Read the macro

Ten drivers (the Fed, jobs, inflation, positioning and more) each vote for or against the dollar. Added up, they make the DXY Bias Score.

2

Check the chart

The score is the macro side. Price decides if and when to act. We compare the two before doing anything.

3

Run the agreement check

The dollar index, EURUSD and GBPUSD must point the same way. If one disagrees, we stay out of that pair.

4

Keep it small, time it well

Small size, a stop loss, a candle close for confirmation, and no rushing into the first minutes of big news.

1

Start here

The foundation. Read these two first and the rest will make sense.

2

The data that moves the dollar

Five reports drive most of the big moves. Learn what each one measures.

3

The Fed, rates and yields

The data matters because of what the Fed does about it. This is the link.

4

How I put it together

My method: the DXY Bias Score, the chart check and the agreement check, with real examples.

5

Risk and timing

Good analysis still fails with bad sizing and bad timing. Read these before you trade live.

The tracker applies everything above to today’s data. The blog shows how I read each release as it happens.

Trading forex and CFDs carries a high risk of loss. This is education, not financial advice.
